Heather was looking for a family photographer in Chandler, AZ. We were able to connect through email, and I met Heather, her husband, and their two children at Veteran’s Oasis Park in Chandler, AZ for their family photo session. We picked a weekday evening, and couldn’t have asked for better, or more beautiful weather. The sun was a little high in the sky still, but we were able to find some nice shady spots. The temperatures were great – light breeze, not hot, not cold (temperatures are important when scheduling your sessions. You don’t want to be too hot or too cold. If you’re uncomfortable, it will show through in your photos).

Lucas was a little shy in front of the camera, so I focused on getting some unposed and candid shots with him. I don’t really like “stuffy photos”, so I always like to mix in candid/unposed portions in my family sessions. I feel that gives you a chance to show your personality and emotion a little more. Plus, no one like feeling like a robot.
