Family Photos at Nichols Park
Living in Arizona, most people think that all we have is desert. Many times, I get asked for locations that are lush, green, and have lots of vegetation. One great area for lush green color is right here in Gilbert, AZ. Check out this gallery below of family photos at Nichols Park.
Green, non-desert was what April requested when she contacted me to schedule her family portraits. One concern was that we’re in the middle of the summer here in Arizona, so many of the locations that are green, or have beautiful flowers, have died off due to the heat. (Need ideas for locations for your family photos? Check this link). I instantly thought of Nichols Park in Gilbert, AZ that would still offer a beautiful green setting for her family portraits. I took a quite drive over prior to her session, just to check it out and make sure we wouldn’t be disappointed.
If you’ve never been to Nichols Park, definitely check it out. It’s a great open field for sports, family photos, picnics, and more.
Photo Session
April wanted to capture some family portraits with their new son Lucas. Right away, Lucas stole the show. He hammed it up for the camera and was all smiles. He especially became interested and focused when he heard the shutter click! With a storm threatening to roll in behind us, and the mosquitoes out in full force, we had to shoot fast. April and her family were awesome. They were getting eaten alive by the bugs, but they kept going and did it with a smile and a great attitude.
