ASU Senior Photos on Campus in Tempe, AZ

Senior year for ASU students can be pretty hectic, stressful, and goes by quicker than they realize. But at the end of their senior year, taking their ASU senior photos is a great opportunity to take a moment to reflect back on all the hard work, and celebrate a bit!

Senior Photo Locations on ASU's Campus

Arizona State University has a beautiful campus, with many different options for photo locations. Two of the most iconic, and most popular spots to take your senior portraits on the Tempe campus are Old Main, and Palm Walk. Old Man is certainly iconic, as it’s the oldest building on campus, and features a gorgeous fountain on it’s front lawn. The weeks leading up to graduation, this place becomes packed with photographers and seniors for photos. Plan to wait a while in line to get your photos on the steps, and on the landing beside the plaque.

Palm Walk is a hotspot on campus, and for good reason. You can get some great instagram worthy shots with the palms lining the sidewalk and definitely gives the ASU vibe.

And, there are many other great locations on campus too. Some other locations include the walkway over University Drive, the ASU signs near Old Main, WP Carey School, and Hayden Library. And, its’ really up to you. Are there some special areas of campus that you like and want to include? Plus, don’t forget about your major’s building!

Go Off Campus For Your Senior Photos

Looking for something a little different? We can always go off campus to make your session unique! There’s lots of local areas that are great for photo sessions, including Papago Park, Usery Mountain Regional Park, the Superstitions, and the Salt River.

Plan Ahead: Senior Portrait Tips for ASU Graduation Season

The 3–4 weeks leading up to graduation—especially in the spring—are the busiest time of year for senior portraits. If you’re hoping to capture your college memories with a session near iconic campus spots like Old Main, don’t wait! I highly recommend scheduling your session as early as possible to avoid the crowds.

During the busy season, expect to wait in line for popular spots like the stairs at Old Main—it’s a favorite location for grads and often has a line of seniors ready for their turn.

To secure your preferred date and time, be sure to book in advance. Dates fill up quickly, and there are only so many available portrait sessions during this peak time. Don’t worry if you don’t have your cap and gown yet—you can still schedule your shoot. Many seniors borrow from friends or grads from the previous year, so you don’t have to wait to get on the calendar.

Bonus Tip: Are you part of a student club or Greek organization? Ask about group portraits! Coordinating with your friends or your whole chapter can make for fun, meaningful photos you’ll always remember.
