Arizona Wedding Photographer in Phoenix

I focus on portrait photography, so wedding photography is not my primary focus. However, I do take on special projects, and like to shoot a limited number of small, intimate weddings throughout the year. I love the personal feel of smaller weddings, and sharing those moments with the bride and groom. When brides are searching for an Arizona wedding photographer and want a journalistic style for their special that and don’t need 8+ hours of coverage, I’m your guy!

Lizdacely found me on social media, and reached out via Facebook messenger.  We went through some initial details of her wedding to make sure we were a good fit for each other.  I always like to get to know my clients a little better initially, rather than just sending a proposal and invoice. To me, it’s just as important to know your clients and their story to make sure you’re capturing this major event of their lives correctly through photography.

She planned to have a small intimate ceremony in Mesa, and then her bridal portrait photos at Las Sendas Golf Club, which was just down the street. The ceremony was planned for 5:30, and as an Arizona wedding photographer, I understand the lighting and heat challenges that can come with early/outdoor events in the summer. Luckily, we had some great weather, a little cooler than normal, and some light cloud coverage.

Lizdacely had one last request, and a little surprise for me. About a week prior to her wedding, she messaged me with something they had planned and really wanted to do.  After we finished with their portraits, they wanted to take a few photos of them jumping into the pool.  Um, yes!  I’m all about outside the box ideas, and things that’ll make for great memories and photos of your wedding.  Check out the photos below from her wedding, and when they literally “took the plunge”!
