Ahwatukee Family Photos in Phoenix, AZ

Moet found me through her search in finding a photographer in Ahwatukee to take her family photos. We exchanged a few emails to set up the date, time, and how many people were going to be available. We talked about some different locations near her mother’s house in the Ahwatukee Foothills, just outside of Phoenix.  To make it easier on everyone, we settled on doing the session at their home.

Once I arrived and started talking with the family, I found out that they hadn’t had a chance to have family photos taken in a long time. With busy work schedules, and the kids growing up and moving out, it made it tough to get everyone together, at the same time. Once I heard that, I was excited to have the opportunity to capture a special moment for them, and give them some family photos that they would be proud of.  

We decided on using their back yard, which was beautiful and could be a stand in for a resort. We worked through the family portrait session quickly due to the heat and humidity during monsoon season.

I only showed Moet a couple of photos on the back of the camera, saving them to surprise her with. I couldn’t wait to edit these and deliver her family portraits to her. Once I sent her gallery, I didn’t have to wait long for a reply.  Her initial reply was “These are freaking amazing!! We could not be more pleased! Thank you from the bottom of my heart, these will be treasured forever!”

That’s the joy that I get out of photography, being able to capture a special moment and share it with someone.
